It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Delta Beta Zeta Chapter. I am delighted that you are taking the time to visit our site to learn about our dedicated, dynamic, illustrious chapter. For nearly a century, the members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. have been working diligently to uphold the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood through its committed community service and partnerships.
Chartered in 1957, Delta Beta Zeta is a premier chapter, not only in Queens, NY but the entire state of NY. We have fostered community service programs to children and families in southeast Queens. Having been recognized for Z-Hope programs, March of Dimes Fundraising, and Elder Care initiatives, we have built a world-class community service organization. To seek and increase visibility and awareness in our community, we have partnered with other community service organizations. We continue to participate and facilitate community bookbag giveaways, Domestic Violence awareness workshops, Senior citizens Thanksgiving dinner, community Christmas dinner, and toy drives. Most of all we welcome support and participation from our community partners. Thank you for exploring our website to find out who we are and to see the services we provide to our community.
Yours in Sisterhood and Service,
Dr. Carol M. Grant
Centennial Chapter President
The Founders of Zeta, five coeds, were strong, young women who possessed a great deal of modesty, character, and pride in academic achievement. They envisioned a sorority that would directly affect positive change and chart a course of action for the 1920s and beyond. They are a worthy foundation upon which to base our illustrious Sorority.
Zetas are phenomenal women. We represent the collective power of all people when unified by a common spirit and a mission-oriented life. We reiterate the celebration of our diversity and the respect of kindred hearts. From its inception in 1920 at Howard University, Zeta women have rejected the status quo. We uphold four principles: Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, Finer Womanhood.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. aims to foster the ideas of service, charity, scholarship, civil and cultural endeavors, sisterhood, and finer womanhood. The year 2021 marks 101 years. During this trying year, we celebrated with purpose our Sorority’s first 101 years of community-conscious and action-oriented service throughout the country and abroad!
